Three tracks from the 'Distant Light' album. Long Cool Woman was released as a single in the US and became their biggest hit reaching number 2 in July 1972.
This occurred after Allan Clarke (who sings on it) had left the group to be replaced by Michael Rickfors. In the UK they had changed record companies moving from EMI to Polydor (where they had chart success in February 1972 with 'The Baby' ) and the US success prompted EMI to issue 'Long Cool Woman' as a single where it got to number 32 in September 1972.

The first song recorded on Allan Clarke's return to the band in August 1973. It lost out to 'Curly Billy' (done at the Abbey Road session) as a single and remained unissued until its appearance on the 'Rarities' CD in 1988.
